The Role
Overview
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment and systems.

Tasks
-Coordinate maintenance plans and schedules with the production supervisors. -Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports. -Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. -Detects abnormalities on sensors, actuators or variable speed drives. -Performs general electronic inspections, diagnosis, repairs and replacements autonomously. -Performs electrical, electronic, automation and electromechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, overhead cranes, electrical installations of the building (600 VAC and below), offices installations. -Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. -Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions. -Perform preventive maintenance on electrical machines and equipment. -Participate in the creation of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. -Performs electric and electronic activities such as low voltage panel repairs, PLC programs loading or DC/AC engines speed control.

What You Bring
-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. -Strong verbal and written communication competencies. -Strong organizational and time managements skills. -At least 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician, particularly with low voltage controls and 3-phase systems in an industrial setting. -Must be able to travel when needed. -Must be able to work weekends, holidays if necessary. -Associated degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field preferred or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience. -Knowledge of performing or assisting on electrical installations using EMT, rigid, liquid tight conduits; install wire ways, disconnects, junction box; run wires, cables, network cables according to NEC. -Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, -Be able to read and understand blueprints and CAD. -Have working knowledge of OSHA regulations. -Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. -Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision. -High school diploma or equivalent required. -Familiarity with PLCs and industrial control systems.
