Production Operator

Overview

Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe, quality production.

Tasks

-Inspects equipment, structures, and materials to identify problems or defects prior to production to ensure a clean, clear and safe work environment. -Perform routine inspections per quality standards. -Conducts on-going assessment of quality control and operational procedures. -Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications. -Observes all safety procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses and maintains equipment and materials properly. -Discharges blenders of powder when necessary. -Completes cleaning logs and notifies quality control for hygiene testing. -Ensures equipment is set-up, cleaned, sanitized, and operating properly before, after and between runs. -Records operational and production data on specified forms/production documents. -Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s). -Transfers materials, supplies, and products between work areas. -Examines materials, ingredients, or product per quality standards. -Reports malfunctions to a supervisor and confirms proactive and routine maintenance. -Ensures quality and conformity of blended products to meet standards. -Weighs or measures materials, ingredients, and products per requirements. -Executes ISO authority and responsibility. Completes and maintains all required training. Reports suspected violations including those of a business associate. -Maintain accurate paperwork. -Reads and follows work orders and formulas to meet production specifications and schedules. -Adds and mixes raw materials according to specifications. -Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures. -Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
