Bridge Crane Operator

Overview

Operate overhead crane, perform inspections, load/unload materials, and maintain safety.

Tasks

-Will operate basic machinery such as material transfer carts, conveyor line rolls, pallet jack, and hoist in addition to over-head crane as needed -Perform daily weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to equipment such as lubrication and cleaning -Perform daily essential overhead crane operations, this includes but is not limited to associated pre-operation inspection and rigging in compliance with the company policies. -Perform daily housekeeping duties including storage of tools, equipment, and supplies; maintaining work area (able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively). -Manipulates crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. -Inspect lining quality providing feedback to liner operator to ensure products is within standards -Transfer materials – loads, transports, and unloads materials – utilizing over crane as needed to meet production objectives. -Inspects crane for defective parts, documents and notifies the supervisor of the defects or malfunctions. -Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism. -Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.

What You Bring

-A minimum 3 years of overhead crane operations experience. -Must pass pre-employment physical and alcohol/drug testing -Must be dependable, flexible, and able to work overtime as needed -Drivers License (Preferred) -Crane: 3 years (Required) -Must always be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations while wearing appropriate PPE. -Ability to perform daily strenuous and heavy physical activities. Must be able to meet all physical requirements including lifting up to 50lbs, digging, standing for long periods of time, climbing step/ ladders up to heights of 15 feet while using fall protection. -Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures which includes wearing PPE -Must be able to work in all weather conditions -Must have reliable transportation to and from work. -Day shift -Previously certified to operate a 25+ ton overhead crane in a similar capacity to meet safety and operational requirements. -High school or equivalent (Preferred) -Crane Certification (Preferred)
