Tasks

-Prepare and review design plans, including layouts, drawings, and blueprints. -Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet project requirements. -Update and maintain design documentation and records. -Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. -Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on project specifications. -Assist in troubleshooting design issues and suggest improvements. -Participate in project meetings and provide input on design-related matters.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass both a criminal background check and driving record review. Civil Science is seeking a qualified CAD Designer to join our Dickinson, Williston, or Fargo, North Dakota team. In this exciting role you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members to design a variety of civil engineering projects. Project types include large-scale land development, infrastructure, transportation, and municipal utilities. The ideal candidate for this position is someone that excels in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. We are eager to help the selected candidate grow his or her career and foresee this position growing into a larger role within our firm. -Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. -Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times. -Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar. -Eagerness to learn and evolve within a fast-paced environment -Strong understanding of design principles and engineering -Ability to set up and participate in activities, which may include squatting, bending, and lifting. -4+ years of CADD experience in civil engineering profession or equivalent experience in educational setting.
