Overview
Design and analyze bridges, tunnels, and other structures using structural software.

Tasks
-Review structural designs, plans, and reports prepared by other design staff. -Prepare cost estimates, technical reports and specifications for bridges and other structures. -Work with various governmental agencies, private sector clients and subconsultants. -Prepare CADD drawings and check plan details. -Research and apply code requirements. -Perform structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, and timber structural elements utilizing structural software. -Assist in structural design projects across the country. -Design and prepare plans for bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and other structures.

What You Bring
-Structural design experience involving buildings and dams beneficial, but not required. -Ability to work independently and with other team members in multiple offices. -A valid driver’s license with a good driving record. -A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering. -Master’s degree in structural engineering a plus. -A minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural design of bridges and other structures. -A Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to obtain in 6 months. -Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. -Proven success in meeting project deadlines, budget expectations, and producing quality design deliverables.
