Experienced Heavy Equipment Finish Operator

Overview

Operate heavy equipment safely, perform maintenance, and use GPS grade control on construction sites.

Tasks

-Responsible for reporting problems and malfunctioning equipment to supervisor and / or shop foreman -Performing daily maintenance and safety checks along with routine maintenance on equipment and machines -Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment, secure job site and equipment at the end of each day -Uphold acceptable attendance -May operate trucks to transport equipment to and from job sites as required -Climb ladder 8-10 feet to access equipment operating station -Foster civil interactions and relationships in the workplace -Comply with all applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures -Keep equipment moving along specified path to ensure equipment is processing material to required specifications -Cleaning equipment as required -Remove excess built up material at the end of shift using a scrapper and shovel, periodically the Equipment Operator may need to use jack or chipping hammers -Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer's guidelines

-Is a productive team member that supports the team by traveling assisting where needed. -Machine Control Experience -Over 18 years of age -Working outdoors in all types of weather and conditions -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, Class A CDL is preferred -Complete and pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen and physical -High school education or GED equivalent -Eligible to work in the United States -Ability to correctly operate grade control technology. -Stringless Grade Control -Motor Grader -Ability to handle stress while adhering to the code of conduct and company safety policy
