Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Work with project team to create all design documents and drawings, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, and wiring/interconnectiondiagrams.. -Communicate and coordinate project activities with project lead, customer representatives, and other stakeholders. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Specification development for the procurement, installation and testing of substation equipment. -Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as determining equipment ratings, sizing equipment per project requirements, CT burden calculations, AC station service load calculations, DC battery sizing calculations, and voltage drop calculation.

What You Bring

-Licensed Professional Engineer preferred, but not required -Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -At least 3 years of experience performing substation protection & control design and engineering for high voltage substations -Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university -Regular, reliable attendance -Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language
