Tasks

To attend meetings and act as a sound company representative at client, design team and site meetings. Pre-contract document preparation. Delivery of sounds construction and procurement advice to existing and potential clients. Compiling contract documentation. Acts authoritatively on behalf of the company and clients in discussing post contract variations. Acts authoritatively on behalf of the company/client in discussing and agreeing post/contractual variations. Preparation of cost reports and monthly valuations. Keep abreast of topical issues relevant to the profession and industry in general Engages confidently with design teams, contractors and clients Preparation of budget estimates and detailed cost planning; reporting directly to clients. Pre-contract cost control and advise to design teams and clients. Responsibility for training and development of junior Quantity Surveyors as part of team structure. Key Accountabilities All post contract functions including; interim recommendations, cost reporting, client meetings and final account reconciliations on a diverse range of projects.

What You Bring

Sound knowledge of building costs per Square ft. and current market rates. Ability to review and resolve contractual claims. Training and development of junior staff and the ability to delegate work appropriately across a team structure. Previous PQS experience Competent in the ‘take-off’ of all Bills of Quantities (supervision and checking the ‘take-off’ of Junior Surveyors included). Due to continued success and growth they have multiple openings for Quantity Surveyors. The purpose of this position(s) is to bring additional expertise, sectoral knowledge and cost management skills to out clients busy South Dublin office. In this position you will deliver industry leading cost management services to both existing and new clients at various stages of projects from inception to completion. Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field Confident ownership of project/projects from inception to launch. Proficient in the preparation of cash flow reports, progress recommendations and agreement of final accounts. 3 years post college experince Interacts positively with all internal stakeholders and peers, including directors, associates and junior staff members.
