We’re currently looking to expand our Project Management team in our Winchester. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager (PM grade) with ideally 2–3 years of experience, preferably within Healthcare (though this is not essential), who is capable of supporting small capital projects. The role requires a good understanding of contract administration (NEC experience is a bonus), strong client-facing skills, and a solid grasp of core PM responsibilities including risk management, programme management, stakeholder engagement, and progress reporting. A full UK driving licence is essential, along with the flexibility to travel regularly to sites across the South Coast region.

Your role will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive services across a mixed range of projects and sectors, including commercial, residential, public, and private work. We’re looking for someone with experience in a Construction Consultancy environment who’s keen to get involved in high-profile schemes that are helping shape the future.

  • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and maximising profitability best value while delivering quality.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and resolving issues before they impact timelines or budgets.
  • Clear, concise communicator with ability to report progress, challenges, and strategies to leadership and clients.
  • Proficient in various contract forms (NEC, JCT, FIDIC, etc.) and ensuring the commercial success of projects.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in consultancy project management in construction.
  • Ability to manage complex and challenging project timelines, ensuring milestone achievement. Experience and understanding of using Asta Power Project and/or MS Project would be advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, design coordination, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Able to demonstrate experience across several sectors and types of projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated and can set project direction aligned with business goals, inspire teams, and drive performance across multiple projects.
  • Clear commitment to achieving chartered status.
  • Proven experience in supporting the delivery of Programs and Project management.
