Tasks

-Documents and tracks volume of waste generated and disposed for reporting to EHS Manager -The Waste Disposal Technician is responsible for the proper disposal of process waste, unused laboratory samples, and spent chemicals used in the laboratory according to corporate, federal, state, and local guidelines. Responsible for safely transporting process waste and unused samples within the laboratory environment. The Waste Disposal Technician must adhere to standard operating procedures, good documentation practices, and maintain accurate recordkeeping, as well as staying up-to-date on training and following training guidelines. -Empties satellite containers into bulk containers and returns containers to laboratory for reuse -Responsible for identifying waste streams and maintaining satellite accumulation points for laboratory waste products -Maintains Ambient Sample storage and Disposal areas to keep it clutter-free and free of hazards -Responsible for disposing unused laboratory samples and process wastes according to regulations -Under the guidance of the EHS manager, coordinates pickup of hazardous waste from the laboratory as required -Prepares and tracks implementation to minimize waste generation -Provides assistance to other departments/areas as needed

What You Bring

-Ability to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements -High School Degree or GED -Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and documentation practices -Adherence to local safety practices -Ability to abide by Eurofins' Safety and Exposure Procedures -Strong communication and organizational skills -Ability to work in a chemical environment -Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English. -Ability to lift, carry and move 25-50 lbs. regularly -2 years’ experience in environmental industry preferred, especially in a lab setting -Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or Sponsorship
