Tasks

-Ensure that all construction activities comply with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards, as well as company policies. -Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all aspects of the construction project. -Investigate any accidents, injuries, or near-misses that occur on the construction site to determine the cause and implement measures to prevent future incidents. -Oversee the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. -Provide safety training and education to workers on topics such as fall protection, proper use of equipment, emergency procedures, and hazard communication. -Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. -Create and maintain site-specific safety plans and protocols, including job hazard analyses and risk assessments. -Identify potential risks and hazards associated with construction activities and implement strategies to mitigate these risks. -Foster a culture of safety among workers by promoting safe practices, encouraging reporting of hazards, and recognizing safe behavior. -Develop and communicate emergency response plans and ensure that workers are trained on how to respond to emergencies. -Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and other safety-related documentation.

What You Bring

-History of safe personal practices and driving record. -An associate or bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred. -Ability to maintain accurate records, manage multiple tasks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. -3+ years of safety-related experience. -CSP, CIH, CHST, OHST, CUSP, or similar certification preferred. -Ability to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. -Ability to effectively communicate safety policies and procedures to workers, supervisors, and management. -Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and practices with emphasis in construction.
