Tasks

-Reviews applicable code data -Presents technical information to conferences and seminars or gets published at least every other year -Leads lab planning efforts on projects -Provides leadership within the Education and Science Planning Group -Responsible for the design of laboratory space with complex features -Develops laboratory equipment list and casework layouts for projects -Analyzes program information and develops an overall laboratory concept -Creates content and presents HDR expertise and capabilities to prospective clients -Develops and coordinates room design criteria for projects and distributes to the project team

What You Bring

-LEED AP preferred -Good communication skills -Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of buildings -Strong graphic and oral presentation capabilities -Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field -A minimum of 12 years related experience -Exposure to full range of Laboratory Planning and Design -Software Skills (Revit, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required, dRofus and Rhino) -Strong organizational skills -Able to lead project planning team -Strong analytical skills and experience gathering information and interfacing with equipment vendors -Understanding of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings and models -Ability to mentor and train Laboratory Planners -Benchmarking studies experience -Experience interviewing client/users/owners
