Application Engineer

Overview

Configure & quote water system solutions, liaise with clients and internal teams.

Tasks

-Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees. -Work collaboratively with agents and customers to align our offering, understand customers' timelines and competitive situation. -Create quotes and work with sales and product management on agreed margins. -Collaborate cross-functionally to make sure all required stakeholders are aligned with the proposed solution and timeline. -Obtain and maintain current information on market-level pricing and competition. -Ensure work is delivered to the agreed service level. -Work with our in-house system to send reports and commitments to clients. -Expedite project orders and prepare required client reports. -Work with clients to understand the requirements of requested products or systems to be configured and quoted. -Provide a central point of contact to engage with supporting departments and suppliers as necessary. -Administer orders with special instructions and documentation requirements. -Communicate with all departments involved in completing quotations.

-Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials. -Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment. -Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills. -Demonstrated customer service skills and customer service etiquette. -Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks. -Able to identify, analyze and work through problems as they arise, and communicate thoroughly to all stakeholders. -Punctuality and dependability. -Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). -Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods. -Ability to manage and maintain several portfolios for various clients at the same time -Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts. -Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. -5+ years technical work experience -Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions. -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. -Superior organizational, analytical and time management skills. -Ability to work effectively with people at all levels. -Bachelor's degree in related engineering, manufacturing or business area required -Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve technical and customer related issues. -Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. -Knowledge and experience with Commercial and Industrial piping systems. -Knowledge to qualify engineering specifications to system applications, functions, markets, and materials. -Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
