Tasks

-Develop technical designs and drawings across a range of project scales from less than one acre to hundreds of acres in size. -Producing designs and preparing project graphics using hand and computer drawing and rendering techniques. -Maintaining a sense of excitement to be involved in projects such as, but not limited to, urban design, education, healthcare, master planned communities, landscape restoration, recreation and sport facilities, etc. -Supporting design teams with site analysis, concept design, production of construction documents, project presentation graphics, and construction administration efforts.

What You Bring

-Knowledge that projects require different soft and technical skills depending on the typology of the work. -Ability to utilize rendering and modeling software such as Sketchup, Rhino, Lumion, etc. -Working knowledge of Revit software packages is not required but considered an asset. -Proficiency with AutoCad -Current licensure as a Landscape Architect is preferred, but not required for candidates. -Balance multiple priorities and deadlines, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills. -Skilled in the Adobe suite of graphic software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) -This role requires collaborative work with our planning, engineering and architecture colleagues and a close working relationship with the various members of the landscape architecture team, including our landscape designers, graphic designers, senior landscape architects and landscape field services team members. -Effective written and verbal communication skills. -Willingness to work in a virtual environment to support projects across North America as well as international project opportunities. -Working knowledge of Civil3D, LandFX, and Bluebeam -6 to 8 years of direct professional experience, in a landscape architecture practice -Design skills required include technical design layout, grading, planting and detailing of design projects of all sizes. Irrigation design knowledge is not required, but considered an asset. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. -Project management skills required include, project planning, proposal response/scope of work definition, and project financial oversight -Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, proactive creativity, and innovation. -A degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university, or a diploma from a technical college focused on landscape architecture, or a combination of related education and experience. -Demonstrated familiarity with the landscape design and construction standards, as well as best practices, required by local approval authorities. -Work towards leading and managing projects, communicating directly with clients and supporting projects from concept through construction. -Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) not required, but considered an asset for potential team members -Ability to work with on various projects that require teamwork and close collaboration, as you may be working on multiple teams on multiple projects in a dynamic work environment -Solid graphic and digital design and documentation skills.
