Overview

Install, assemble, and maintain commercial piping systems for HVAC and process projects.

Tasks

-Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing on piping systems. -Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, spool sheets, and specifications. -Communicate with supervisors and other trades to coordinate installation. -Layout and install carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and/or PVC piping systems. -Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including use of PPE. -Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe using hand and power tools. -Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with all applicable codes. -Assist welders by prepping pipe and holding alignment during welding. -Keep tools and equipment in proper working condition. -Use supports, hangers, and restraints according to code and specifications. -Fit and align pipe accurately before welding or mechanical joining.

What You Bring

-Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces or at heights. -Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and P&IDs. -NCCER, UA, or other pipefitter certification a plus. -Basic math and layout skills. -Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, hydronic, process piping). -3+ years of experience as a pipefitter in commercial or industrial mechanical construction. -Experience working alongside welders and inspectors for code compliance. -OSHA 10 certification preferred. -Experience on commercial projects such as schools, hospitals, or data centers. -Strong understanding of OSHA safety practices and procedures. -Proficient in measuring, cutting, fitting, and joining various piping materials.
