Access Control and Security Technician

Tasks

-Works with Infrastructure Manager and Access Control & Security Engineer to understand any impacts of ongoing issues to the Access and Security and associated hardware or software. -Triages and prioritizes Tier Two Access and Security systems service requests within the ticketing system. -In conjunction with other team members, develops documentation and training materials for all business units. Conducts formal and informal trainings and provides assistance to staff. -Documents network systems and services to share knowledge with IT team members. -Promptly and professionally responds to after-hours emergency calls and/or requests as assigned. -Completes assigned tasks by deadlines and communicate any obstacles with your leads in advance. -Attends meetings with vendors and service providers as needed. -Provides onsite and remote technical troubleshooting for all associated business units, including corporate and site-based teams across all entities. -Leads the planning and execution of Access and Security system upgrades in close consultation with the Infrastructure Manager and Access Control & Security Engineer. -Responsible for the day-to-day programming, administration, troubleshooting and repair of Access and Security systems (access control and cameras). -Stays well informed on Access and Security maintenance and upgrade needs for all locations.

What You Bring

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems -Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties. -06 Low Voltage License Required. -Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines. -Comfortable with a high flow of requests and able to balance priorities. -Intermediate knowledge of computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Gateways, routers, switches. -Experience with any or all of the following required: Aviglion, Doorking, Butterfly MX, Comelit, Brivo, Eagle Eye -Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel preferred. -Successful completion of background check and drug screen required. -High school education or equivalent required.
