Tasks

Responsibilities will include providing water resources design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support Senior Project Environmental Scientists and Engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of water resources and environmental design. Responsibilities will include MS4 compliance, stream/outfall restoration, hydrologic/hydraulic (H/H) studies and drainage, stormwater management (SWM), and erosion/sediment control (ESC) design. -Performing physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and climbing -Lifting objects weighing up to 30 pounds and/or carting objects up to 30 lbs distances up to1 mile.

(no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa) The work environment may include exposure to a range of environmental conditions, including high and low temperatures, precipitation, and other outdoor elements. -Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers -Willingness to conduct field work that may require periodic overnight travel -Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD preferred -Walking and navigating across rough or uneven terrain such as mud, rocks, grass, dirt, steep hillsides, stream banks, heavily wooded areas, and other unpaved surfaces -0-4 years of experience in a related field -Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology or related field -Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team -Driving to and from project sites which may involve distances of up to or exceeding 400 miles round trip. -Willingness to work outdoors in sometimes harsh conditions -Relevant internship/job experience related to stream restoration, MS4 compliance and/or transportation engineering -Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines under limited supervision -Critical thinking and problem solving -Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills -Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) -Must be able to function safely in an environment with potential risks, including, but not limited to those described in this document. -A copy of current, or most recent, school transcript (If you are applying via a 3rd party site that does not allow attachments, please email transcript to [email protected])
