The Role

Overview

Weld structural steel components using MIG process on a weekend shift.

Tasks

-Participate in safety committees and/or other initiatives. -Maintain and complete all required records. -Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. -Complete other duties as required including helping to train other employees as needed on new tasks. -Lay out and cut complex subassemblies and/or final product. -Observe all standard safety practices and follow all safety rules.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 1 year of applicable welding experience or successful completion of weld training and education. -Ability to accurately measure within specified tolerances highly preferred. -Flux or Metal Core welding experience highly preferred. -Ability to read blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders highly preferred. -A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal. -Previous experience manufacturing transmission poles or related products is highly desired, but not required. -Fit and complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds.
