Overview
Develop and quality‑check roadway design drawings using CAD software
Key Responsibilities
- geometric design

Tasks
-This would include developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design, drainage, superelevation, construction details, work zone traffic control, erosion control, and signing and striping plans -Maintains drawing database -May supervise and train CAD staff -The candidate will develop concepts as well as work on preliminary engineering and final design for projects -Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control -The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations -Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards -This person will develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software

What You Bring
-Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products -Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes -4+ years of relevant experience -High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred) -Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter -Ability to work independently and with a team -Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn -Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks
