Tasks
The Environmental Manager oversees and manages all processes related to environmental control within the organisation, ensuring alignment with both internal strategies and external regulations. This role is responsible for conducting audits, assessments, and implementing best practices to promote sustainable development and compliance. -Set priorities that reflect the importance of job responsibilities. -Develop and implement action plans for corporate sustainable development. -Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues. -Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental guidelines and standards. -Provide professional expertise in the administration and support of environmental programmes. -Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. -Support the implementation of company and IMS (Integrated Management System) policies. -Develop systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations (local and international). -Conduct environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring necessary changes are implemented. -Foster a positive approach to environmental issues and encourage participation in environmental initiatives. -Oversee the environmental performance of the organisation, developing and monitoring strategies for sustainable development. -Maintain accurate reports, records, and documentation. -Lead sustainable procurement initiatives for goods and services. -Stay updated on international developments and best practices in environmental management. -Support HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution. -Implement and monitor environmental policies, procedures, and norms as per the organisation’s systems. -Develop and deliver presentations to inform or persuade stakeholders.

What You Bring
-Excellent communication skills in English. -NEBOSH Environmental Certification. -Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills. -Technical expertise in various environmental issues and scientific principles of environmental control. -Experience in the GCC region (2 years) is a plus. -Familiarity with ISO 14001 and environmental management systems and standards. -In-depth knowledge of environmental compliance, statutory requirements, and Qatar regulations. -Professional qualification in Lead Auditor Course ISO 14001 or GSAS Certification. -Minimum 8 years of working experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant role. -Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
