Tasks

-Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees and subcontractors to strengthen safety culture and promote best practices. -Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting, root cause analysis, and preventive action planning. -Ensure compliance with international health and safety standards such as ISO 45001, OSHA, and NFPA, as well as local regulatory requirements. -Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE plans, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. -Prepare and maintain documentation related to safety management systems, including risk registers, inspection reports, and emergency response plans. -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving HSE regulations, standards, and technologies to enhance workplace safety and compliance. -Participate in management meetings and provide professional HSE advice and support to achieve organizational objectives. -Monitor and report HSE performance indicators, identifying trends and recommending improvement initiatives. -Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented. -Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure that HSE requirements are integrated into all project activities.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and programs to ensure compliance with international standards and local regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a strong safety culture and promoting continuous improvement across all project sites. -Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualifications is an advantage. -Excellent coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams. -Experience in developing and delivering HSE training sessions and workshops. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement preventive actions. -Proven experience in implementing and managing HSE programs aligned with international standards and best practices. -Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. -Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in HSE within complex engineering or construction projects. -Strong report writing, data analysis, and presentation skills. -Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. -Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required. -Comprehensive understanding of HSE management systems and risk-based approaches. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant HSE reporting tools. -Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive positive change. -Familiarity with international Health & Safety standards and procedures (ISO 45001, OSHA, NFPA, etc.) and local regulatory requirements.
