The Role

Overview

Conduct field and office surveys using GPS and equipment for construction and design.

Tasks

-Ensures that field information is accurately collected and transferred to the office support team -Analyze survey maps, locate monumentation and physical evidence required in the retracement of property lines -Efficiently complete daily topographic, boundary and control surveys for design and construction surveys -Responsible for clear, informative, and accurate field notes. -Report unique or potential construction difficulties to the office support team -Communicate with the client’s on-site representatives, when needed, to ensure satisfaction with work performed and the communication of his needs to the office support team.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of OSHA and local safety standards -Must be willing and able to initially work primarily in the field, but also have the ability to work on office tasks -Working knowledge of Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Office, and MS Office. OPUS solution experience and point cloud exposure are a plus -Fluent with Trimble equipment. Mobile, aerial, and ground-based lidar scanning experience a plus -Experience in topographic surveys, transportation surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, land boundary surveys, subdivisions and records of survey, elevation certificates, construction staking, and data management. Exposure to first and second-order control surveys is a plus -Experience in using linework codes with Topo Surveys -Competent in using conventional survey equipment and GPS systems in the collection of data or the placement of construction control -Well-versed in all field techniques related to boundary retracement, design support, and construction surveying support
