Tasks

-Ensure strict adherence to company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements, promoting a culture of workplace safety and compliance. -Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure construction activities align with engineering plans, schedules, and regulatory compliance. -Verify structural components, including soil compaction, foundation construction, concrete placement, asphalt paving, and other key construction elements, ensuring they meet design and engineering standards. -Participate in project meetings and site walkthroughs, discussing progress, challenges, and compliance-related issues with stakeholders. -Maintain comprehensive inspection reports, including daily logs, photographs, test results, field notes, and project documentation to track progress, site conditions, and any encountered issues. -Assist in preparing final project closeout documentation, ensuring all required inspections and quality checks are completed. -Perform detailed on-site inspections to ensure compliance with approved engineering plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications with the ability to analyze and apply engineering principles. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. -Moderate to loud noise levels, common in active construction and industrial environments. -Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, balance, lift, carry, and push as required for fieldwork and inspections. -Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, handling tools, and operating equipment. -Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods. -Ability to use your senses to see (including close, distant, and peripheral vison, depth vision, and ability to focus) smell, hear, touch (use hands to reach climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit). -Ability to speak and hear effectively to communicate in noisy environments and with project teams. -Minimum of one of the ICC certifications (ICC Masonry, ICC Reinforced Concrete, ICC Soils). -Familiarity with inspection and reporting software tools. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both field and office environments, adapting to changing project demands. -Exposure to environmental elements including dirt, dust, sun, heat, humidity, and adverse weather conditions. -Working knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control procedures to ensure adherence to design and industry standards. -Flexibility to travel within the designated region as needed to support inspections, compliance efforts, and business operations is a must. -Experience in infrastructure construction is highly valued. -1+ year(s) relevant experience performing special inspections on at least one type of construction material (such as soils, masonry, concrete, structural steel). -Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to travel to job sites as needed. -Ability to lift and/or carry 35 to 75 lbs. up to 75 feet, involving regular repetitive motion.
