Tasks
-Prepare draft documents pertaining to litigation, company business and Legal activity for attorney edit and review (15%) -Coordinate work with Legal Administrative Assistants (5%) -Develop and maintain a knowledge of statutes, court decisions and the background relating to procedures and processes in the applicable areas of practice within the law department (5%) -Draft documents that require insertion of basic information and/or utilizing standard format following department practice (5%) -Supports co-workers regarding department activities and functions -Collect, analyze, organize and maintain the entire array of information, records and documents in accordance with acceptable legal practices and procedures as needed to support Legal and the practice area attorneys (50%) -Perform routine legal procedures under direct supervision and control of attorney; perform routine legal research (15%) -Supports attorneys, company management and senior level paralegal staff in matters involving company personnel, and outside counsel and their staff -Perform filing and other clerical functions (5%)

What You Bring
-Possess the demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow verbal instructions. -Possess at least two to four years of professional legal experience in real estate or other project related area of law; possess a high school degree or equivalent; and possess a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution or have a minimum of two to four years of in-depth practical experience, including land use planning, or real estate transactions, in an established law firm or in house in a corporate setting. -Possess a general knowledge of law firm and legal practices and procedures, including litigation, and the rules or procedures required of the various court and administrative systems. Possess a working knowledge of legal terminology. Be highly skilled in the use of computers and software packages being utilized by the department, including Microsoft office suite. -Possess the ability to communicate clearly - both orally and in writing -and to read and analyze legal materials and other data. -Possess a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution -Possess and demonstrate initiative and sound judgment required to make decisions without supervision and in the absence of exact established procedures. Possess willingness to accept responsibility and devote the time necessary for success in a legal environment. Possess the ability to meet critical and short deadlines, a commitment to successful performance and the completion of tasks, and the ability to work in demanding conditions.
