Tasks

-Set objectives, guidelines and priorities for the department. -Ensures all contracts and project site meet the safety policy requirements for our employee’s safety. -Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures. -Provide cost budgeting, cost forecasting and control of department expenditures. -Coordinate the preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance of all plant and infrastructure equipment. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours. -Responsible for plant sustaining capital projects management (Justification, Engineering support, Procurement, Cost Control, etc.). -Ensure the competence and development of department employees (hourly and salaried). -Embrace RCA process and actively drive and promote it within the department and plant. -Plans maintenance activities in a way that is compatible with the overall operation of the plant. -Establishes the environment as a priority and ensures all local and provincial and federal regulations are met or exceeded.

What You Bring

-Travel Requirements: 10%. -Knowledge of RCA. -Education: B.S. degree in engineering. -Strong mechanical aptitude. -Required Work Experience: 7 to 10 years. -Required Technical Skills: Heavy industry equipment experience (mobile equipment, rotary kilns, mills, conveyors, crushers, cooling towers, dust collectors, etc.) strong computer literacy with various software programs (including Maintenance specific), Microsoft suite. -Good project management skills and experience. -Cement operating experience (would be an asset). -Field of Study Preferred: mechanical, electrical, industrial or similar. -Strong leadership skills -Excellent time management skills. -Excellent planning skills. -Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
