Overview

Develop and optimize automotive production processes using discrete event simulation.

Tasks

-AGV quantity estimation and identifying operational hotspots. -Racking studies to maximize space and efficiency. -Onsite material movements (lineside deliveries, marketplace transfers). -Material movements between sites to improve supply chain efficiency. -Perform volume throughput increase studies and evaluate system "what-if" scenarios. -Develop and implement Discrete Event Simulation models using Plant Simulation to optimize automotive production processes. -Determine buffer size requirements and assess the impact of different model derivative mixes on production flow. -Ensure process adherence to vehicle derivative sequencing and build-to-sequence rules. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data insights into clear recommendations. -Optimize material flows and logistics, including: -Conduct bottleneck analysis and recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

What You Bring

-Remote working can be considered for the right candidate -Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders. -Proven experience in automotive production or logistics environments. -Strong analytical skills with a focus on bottleneck analysis and process optimization. -Strong Excel VBA skills for data analysis and model enhancement. -Experience in modelling assembly lines to improve efficiency. -Hands-on expertise with Witness Discrete Event Simulation toolset.
