Tasks

-Team leadership – Mentor and develop Project Managers and support staff, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. -Safety & quality – Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture and apply rigorous quality control processes. -Project delivery – Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring robust planning, execution, and compliance with all relevant standards and legislation. -Financial accountability – Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost control to ensure commercial targets and profitability are achieved. -Strategic leadership – Develop and implement project management strategies, policies, and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability. -Resource optimisation – Ensure internal and external resources are allocated effectively to meet project demands. -Client relations – Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure expectations are exceeded.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Projects Director to lead and oversee a portfolio of building services projects. Based at the Kent Head Office (with occasional site travel), this senior leadership role involves driving projects from concept through to successful completion—on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. -Proven success – Deliver projects valued between £250,000 and £3.5m with both end users and main contractors. -Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or related field. -Full UK Driving Licence (essential for site travel). -Minimum 10+ years in a senior project management or director-level role within the M&E/Building Services sector. -Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. -Strong commercial and financial management skills, including P&L responsibility. -In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, building regulations, and H&S legislation. -Demonstrable experience delivering high-value, complex projects. -Ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
