Estimate construction costs and oversee bidding for commercial projects.

Tasks
-Develop relationships with the general contractors, owners and other design team members including our vendors and subcontractors. -Follow awarded contracts as assigned – may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc. -Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. -Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. -Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates and figures. -Interface with owner, and other contractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility. -Assist the operations team with turnover meetings and internal budgeting.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of estimating, cost control and system design, plus the ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems. -Excellent communication, organizational skills are essential. -Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule. -Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel, Accubid Estimating Software, and Bluebeam Revu. -This position is required to drive. -Must have safe driving record and a valid driver’s license according to legal requirements. -Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position). -Two years’ experience in estimating, cost control and/or engineering experience in construction management. -Leadership experience in a field environment. -A working knowledge of operations and estimating practices at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience; and -Experience in construction management with a commercial and/or industrial focus.
