The Role

Overview

Overnight floor technician maintaining hard surfaces and carpet, ensuring safety and guest satisfaction

Tasks

-Routine restroom cleaning -Participate in team meetings -Maintain clean work area -Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users. -Support shift lead in completing punch-list items -Perform work assignments in a team with other employees -Perform repetitive tasks -Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures -Use proper personal protective equipment -Maintenance of floor care equipment -Build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests -Fill in during staff shortage -Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules -Coordinate activities with other internal departments -Communicate professionally with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers. -Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use -Take direction and respond to supervision -Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery

What You Bring

-Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance. -Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred. -Understand customer service and satisfaction -Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills. -High School diploma or equivalent education. -Push/pull and grasp with hands and arms 33-50% -Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells. -Understand reporting systems and the environment -Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds -Dusting (high and low) -Minimum 1 year experience in floor care. -Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods -Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers. -Present a professional appearance and conduct -Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds -Willingness to take directions from the Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager -Frequently lift 0-10 pounds
