The Role
Overview
Manage daily import/export compliance, classification, documentation, and customs filings.

Tasks
-Maintain compliance records in accordance with CBP and other regulatory requirements -Prepare and review import/export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, FTA documentation) -Update and maintain SOPs, checklists, and compliance databases -Support internal audits and provide documentation for government inquiries -Contribute to the preparation and submission of government filings and disclosures as needed -Ensure timely and accurate customs filings and broker instructions -Classify products under HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, and other regulatory codes -Assist in onboarding new suppliers/customers with compliance screening and documentation requirements -Monitor shipments for compliance issues and resolve holds or discrepancies with brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams

What You Bring
-Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations (CBP, EAR, OFAC; ITAR a plus) -Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and ERP systems -Certified Customs Broker preferred but not required. -Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience) -Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills -Proficiency in Microsoft 365; familiarity with trade compliance software preferred -2–4 years of operational trade compliance or customs experience -Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
