-Conduct basic engineering calculations and analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, fluid dynamics) to ensure the integrity and performance of designs. -Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure timely completion of project milestones. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met. -Support the troubleshooting and optimization of mechanical systems. -Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). -Assist in the development of prototypes and participate in testing to validate design concepts. -Assist in quality control and assurance processes during production. -Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to innovative engineering solutions. -Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. -Work is typically performed in an office setting, with some time spent in testing labs or on the manufacturing floor. -Assist in the preparation of technical presentations and project status updates. -Provide support in the selection and evaluation of materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
-This position may require occasional travel to manufacturing sites or client locations. -Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, or 3D printing. -Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. -Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. -Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. -Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ASTM). -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science. -Internship or co-op experience in a mechanical engineering role is a plus, but not required. -Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
