Tasks

-Investigate breaches of standards or poor performance and produce detailed reports -Conduct reactive risk assessments as required -Deliver specialist water quality training to operational staff -Identify risks in treatment controls and propose effective mitigation strategies -Develop and maintain process documentation, policies, and procedures -Provide expert advice on water treatment processes and support investment projects and operations -Support daily activities of the Water Quality department and represent the team in cross-departmental meetings -Ensure compliance with Water Quality Regulations and company policies at treatment sites -Analyse and interpret water quality and operational data (including SCADA) to optimise plant performance

What You Bring

-Full, valid UK driving licence -Strong IT proficiency, including data analysis tools -Degree or HND in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science, Microbiology) -Willingness to participate in an “out of hours” standby rota -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Experience in drinking water treatment, water quality, or a related field (preferred)
