Tasks

-Manage and review bid specifications and provide construction management for municipal infrastructure projects -Recruiting/hiring/mentoring junior engineers -Prepare project proposals, contracts, and reports -Working with elected or appointed municipal officials and personnel to determine and meet the municipality’s needs -Conduct or supervise plan reviews for submitted Subdivisions and Land Developments -Attend public meetings of elected or appointed officials as municipal engineer representative -Manage and/or design infrastructure projects, such as roadways, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, culvert replacements, water distribution, park and recreation facilities -Work with staff personnel to confirm that subdivisions/land developments are constructed consistent with municipal approvals -Prepare cost estimates or review cost estimates prepared by staff

What You Bring

-Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D (preferred). -Civil Engineers with at least seven years’ experience (PA PE license strongly preferred) in the design and management of municipal projects (with land development experience a plus). -Ability to attend evening meetings. -Ability to obtain PA Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances. -Experience in building and maintaining client relations and involvement in business development. -Valid driver’s license – for travel to client sites/meetings.
