Tasks

-Review drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour and equipment -Support package handovers to operations -Record key assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and assist in risk evaluation from a pricing perspective -Support the Geotechnical Estimating Team in developing robust project estimates -Develop labour, plant, material and subcontract pricing within our Estimating Software (Candy) -Create graphics and text for tender proposals, and source bespoke items from our plant division -Produce and assure estimating documentation, either independently or alongside a Senior Estimator -Contribute to the consistency of our estimating approach, working closely with the Lead Estimator and Head of Estimating -Liaise with project team members and our supply chain to understand and develop methodologies and principles -Work within electronic portals to submit and retrieve information -Compile elementary bills for pricing and prepare supplier and subcontractor enquiries -Mentor and support junior members of the estimating team, sharing your expertise and experience -Produce quantity take-offs and scheduling from enquiry documents

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Excel and similar software -(Desirable) Experience with Candy Estimating Software and RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software -(Desirable) Familiarity with AACE principles of Estimating Class and associated maturity -Strong written English and mathematical skills
