Civil Designer Infrastructure

Overview

Design and document civil/site infrastructure projects using Civil3D and AutoCAD.

Tasks

-Design of projects under the instructions of a PL’s or Lead Engineer using Civil engineering software such as, but not limited to, Autodesk Civil3D, Infraworks and AutoCAD -Travel offshore for training/onsite work: Occasionally -Assist in development of tools and constant improvement to procedures and standards -Execute project modelling & detailing services -Preparation of basic site layouts, general arrangement drawings, site grading, plans and profiles, cut and fill calculations, site servicing including water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm water management, shallow utilities, erosion & sediment control etc. -Attend project review meetings and ensure the provision of completed and reviewed drawings (selfverification checklists) -Build and develop professional profile both internally and externally -Regularly interact and engage with other members of the discipline -Develop design skills and industry knowledge together with a consistent track record in performance -Provide design guidance and instruction to drafting staff, and junior/intermediate designers -Develop a reputation for reliability and consistency

-Ability to work independently and use his/her initiative. Able to lead smaller tasks and manage the work of the team -Competent level of baseline skills, i.e., professional ethics, confident with the essential, basic business and communication skills that are required for career growth -Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering in a BIM environment -Knowledge of MicroStation/ OpenRoads / Infraworks / Revit / 12D will be preferred. -Understand design and drafting systems and standards and design development process followed by clients and implement in work -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu -Competent level of client service management, i.e., able to interact with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships -Adherence to professional standards, ethics and Client quality procedures and standards -Professionally accredited or on the verge of achieving it -Capable of analyzing complex issues about projects and supporting the team lead in mitigating them in advance -Experience in preparing the GA and detailed drawings of land development projects including residential/commercial / industrial projects -Good oral and written communication skills -Rigorous attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows and commitment to professional development -General knowledge of construction techniques and practices -Very good handson experience of Civil3D & AutoCAD 2D is must. -Knowledge of French language (oral/ written) would be an added advantage -Flexible attitude to accepting different work assignments and proactive attitude to execution/delivery -BEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience or a Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 12 years of relevant experience -Knowledge of site civil infrastructure and utilities -Good interpersonal skills
