Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Provide technical reviews at conceptual and final design stages. -Lead technical meetings and discussions. -Design Leadership: Lead and perform engineering design tasks for bridges, walls, culverts, inlet structures, and other standard structures. -Strategize and resolve complex technical challenges. -Conduct interdisciplinary reviews for coordination and contract compliance. -Establish and implement project-specific design criteria. -Project Planning: Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets for structural design deliverables. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Identify technical differentiators and contribute to key project pursuits. -Manage design teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budget compliance. -Apply engineering principles to meet technical requirements and develop effective solutions. -Balance risk, change, and project impacts to support overall project success.

What You Bring

-Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Detail-oriented and organized. -Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes. -Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -PE registration in at least one state is highly desirable. -10+ years in structural engineering design, with emphasis in the nuclear sector. -Proficient in equipment design using industry codes. -Excellent oral and written communication. -Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. -Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes. -5+ years leading or mentoring junior engineers. -Regular, reliable attendance -Experience in design-build transportation projects and alternative delivery methods. -Familiarity with seismic design and analysis (preferred). -Strong theoretical foundation in structural engineering principles. -Willingness and ability to travel as needed for business.
