Tasks

-Assign, schedule and maintain subordinate inspection staff throughout all phases of the project -Perform constructability reviews of designs -Perform electrical calculations including arc flash, short circuit, system coordination, voltage drop, equipment sizing, and research and design to the current National Electrical Code -Take ownership of assigned project work to see work product through to the end of delivery -Gathers and maintains record documents -Work on behalf of the Client to draft project correspondence, facilitate project meetings, and resolve construction related field issues -Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and standards -Provide assistance with field investigations for arc flash data collection and ground grid testing -Research electrical equipment standards and specifications, design equipment layout and coordination with process mechanical, produce circuit and panel schedules, conduct engine generator sizing using vendor software -Makes field notes and computations -Interact with the general public, government agencies, contractors, sub-contractors, and other internal and external parties to respond to inquiries

What You Bring

-Demonstrate skills with thorough knowledge of procedures, practices, installation, and testing methods, as well as of the National Electrical Code -4+ years of Construction Inspection Experience -High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience) -Strong Computer proficiency -Knowledge of NEC requirements for industrial and commercial installations -Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening -Supervisory experience in construction management/inspection situations -Knowledge of NFPA 70E -Ability to understand Electrical, Instrumentation, and P&ID drawings -Associates or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering -Ability to act in an Owner’s Agent/Responsible in Charge role -Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually -Ability to review and respond to submittals and RFI’s -Adapt to and use company tools and systems in place to monitor project budget and schedule -Effective oral and written communication -Demonstrated ability to efficiently use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam or PDF writer, and Outlook -Knowledge of practical means and methods for electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning -NEC knowledge shall include working clearances and access, and conduit and conductor sizing -Active driver’s license
