Tasks

-Undertake technical reviews of engineering design documentation prepared by third parties and report on findings Lead and coordinate the preparation of technical reports and specifications/ employer’s requirements to a high-quality standard while maintaining schedule and budget -Manage and actively identify all critical risks, issues and impacts of the project, specifically the adequate application of and adherence to both statutory and corporate health, safety and environmental requirements -Manage interfaces between the main contractors -Lead and manage tender preparation and negotiation for Owner’s Engineer projects -Controlling internal and external commercial aspects of the project under the contract arrangements -Managing risk to the business and to the client -Creates a work environment which promotes health, safety, and wellbeing -Delivering project scope to time quality and cost -Building and managing strong relationships with senior client representatives as well as internal stakeholders -Managing thermal energy advisory assignments including but not limited to lenders due diligence, acquisition due diligence and vendors due diligence of development, construction and operational thermal energy projects -Taking the lead on problem solving and decision making -Work effectively on several projects concurrently to deliver to tight deadlines -Establishing effective communications across the whole project delivery team -Monitor contractors’ progress against programme and key milestones, and support clients in successfully resolving contractor claims

What You Bring

-Experience across all stages of the project lifecycle -Appreciation of commercial sphere of project work including contract terms -Experience in contract administration -Ability to make complex decisions, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, accepting responsibility for own actions -Excellent communication skills -Relevant PM qualifications (eg PMQ, PMP, Prince 2) -Experience within the Energy Advisory sector -Previous experience in electrical infrastructure projects e.g. Owner’s Engineer, Lender’s Engineer, or other role -Relevant engineering or management degree or relevant successful experience in project management of energy sector projects -Collaborative skills: the job of Project Manager requires that they work with cross-functional teams potentially located in different countries, so it is vital that they can work with people from various backgrounds -Knowledge and experience in approaches to change management, risk management, schedule and cost management, along with all other aspects of project management -Proven success in the delivery of thermal energy projects (such as OCGT and CCGT projects) working for a consultancy, designer, a contractor, or major industry client -Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
