Tasks

-Perform related work as assigned in an unsupervised, reactive, and mission-critical environment. -Provide integration, installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance support, and technical training assistance as required. -Assist in creating and editing job aids and training documentation as needed. -Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for UHF MILSATCOM for USCG Cutters and Shore stations.

-Knowledge and use of systems include but are not limited to: -Capable of working at heights (shipboard masts and rooftop antenna locations) -Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner. -Ability to research and analyze operational data. -Familiar with the following test equipment: -Effective oral and written communication skills. -Knowledge and use of USCG shipboard internal and external communications systems. -Spectrum Analyzer -Capable of ascending shipboard ladders -U.S. Citizen. -External crypto devices: (KY-58, KYV-5, KIV-7M, KGV-11) -Secure Voice Distribution systems -Valid U.S. Passport. -Ability to organize and prioritize own work as well as assigned personnel. -Well-versed in Microsoft Office and related business software. -Ability to work alone or in a team environment as required. -Operational and Maintenance Knowledge of the following radio systems: -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Management, or a related field. -AV457 Antennas -Excellent oral communication skills including but not limited to customer interactions, formal and informal training, and meeting facilitation. -Travel required to CONUS / OCONUS facilities. -TOP SECRET Security Clearance. -Able to lift 50 lbs. -Ability to exercise independent judgment. -12+ years of operational and maintenance experience in shore- and shipboard-based U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) UHF MILSATCOM systems. -Communications analyzer (CMA-180) -AV2098 Antennas -Excellent written communications including but not limited to development and editing of business, operational, and technical documents, engineering changes, meeting and trip reports, Maintenance Procedures (MPC), training material, and after-action reports. -Antenna Analyzer -Two (2) years supervisory experience.
