Operate and monitor power house equipment in wastewater treatment plant

Tasks

-Respond to equipment problems: shutting down, starting up, standby, and requesting maintenance as appropriate. -Required to follow all applicable safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in performance of assigned duties. Is required to participate in all required safety training activities. Is expected to report any unsafe conditions encountered in performance of duties. -While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. -Visually inspect above listed equipment and operate same equipment by local control when necessary, maintain log sheets and change charts on a fixed time schedule. Adjust systems and controlled equipment to meet management and operational requirements. -Assist in training of personnel. -Maintain record of equipment status. -Under supervision, monitor and control equipment listed below whose monitoring devices and control are located in the Central Control Room and the operating floor within the Power House building Equipment: -Operate communications center: handle incoming and outgoing mobile communications, answer and channel incoming plant calls.

What You Bring

-ASOPE First Class Operating Permit is a MUST -Communicates effectively via written and oral methods with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and others when necessary. -High School Diploma/GED is required. -Valid Wisconsin driver's license. -Four years of experience of operating turbines or generators. -Four years of experience operating Power House equipment in plants containing high-pressure boilers. -The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Computer Control system. -Cogeneration startup, if necessary. -Electrical switchboards. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
