On-site electrician maintaining electrical systems in a prison

Tasks

-Testing and inspecting electrical installations in line with current IEE wiring regulations -Supporting zero carbon initiatives, contributing to sustainability goals, and handling additional tasks as directed by your line manager -Performing planned and preventative electrical maintenance and diagnosing/replacing failed domestic electrical components -Ensuring Health & Safety standards are met across the contract -Undertaking electrical installation activities according to provided designs and IET Wiring Regulations -Monitoring and ordering critical spares for all electrical services, and oversee the BMS System -Responding promptly to breakdowns, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently

What You Bring

-Appropriate technical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above). -Actively fault finding and problem solving on domestic electrical systems -Membership of our Affinity Networks who connect, support and inspire diverse communities within Amey. -Capable of working at heights. -Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations. -Ability to work alone and use initiative. -Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution, installation, and testing. -BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th Edition.
