Overview

Design, review, and supervise mechanical systems for construction projects in NY.

Tasks

-Perform engineering design and redesign or review of plumbing, piping, fire protection systems and heating and ventilating systems for new and rehabilitation construction projects. These projects may involve needed design changes for mechanical systems of existing facilities that can present complex problems in order to be compatible with the plans for existing building structures. -Perform the full range of supervisory duties. -Supervise and review consultant work. -Prepare mechanical specifications, mechanical estimates and studies for energy conservation for the mechanical design projects.

What You Bring

-Travel may be required (approximately 20%). -Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver’s License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required.

Benefits

-There is no examination required for appointment to a NY HELPS position. Candidates hired via NY HELPS will be appointed on a permanent non-competitive basis and will begin a probationary period.
