Overview

Inspect welds and fabrications to ensure compliance with client requirements and standards.

Tasks

-Conduct Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT). -Calibrate and maintain test equipment. -Inspect every weld to ensure adherence to working procedures and standards. -Assess weld quality, determine necessary rework, and ensure compliance with tolerances. -Prepare and maintain accurate NDT reports. -Perform 100% visual inspection of all welds in line with CSWIP 3.1 standards. -Escalate quality issues outside of tolerance to the Quality & Responsible Welding Coordinator. -Carry out detailed visual weld inspections, MPI inspections, and welder audits. -Review welder competency (ISO 9606) every two years and conduct six-monthly reviews.
