The Role

Overview

Coordinate construction quality, inspections and non‑conformance for the Scarborough Subway Extension.

Tasks

-Review test packages and relevant documentation prior to conducting inspections and testing. -Prepare and maintain quality records pertaining to their assigned portion of work. -Ensure Inspections and Tests are performed in accordance with the approved ITPs and quality records and other quality documents are complete, accurate, and meet the applicable requirements. -Evaluate and document the quality of construction work performed by the companies, suppliers and/or subcontractors, including conformance with PA requirements, and IFC drawings and specifications, fulfilling all the QC assigned activities in the related Inspection and Test Plan for performing and documenting inspections and tests assigned to QC in the ITP. -Monitor and control for material receiving and any further processing, delivery, installation, or use of non-compliant construction work or supplied product until the unsatisfactory conditions are corrected, controlled, or removed. -Verify that any equipment that requires so, is fit for purpose, is properly calibrated and maintained as required. -Coordinate and notify as indicated in the ITPs all the quality activities with Construction Quality Manager, quality coordinators, and inspectors, and with any other party/agency having jurisdiction, including Contracting Authority, Utilities and Governmental Authorities. -Identify and report non-conforming construction Work and supplied product when discovered, and review/ monitor disposition of Non-conformances. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Complete daily site inspections and related documentation.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in transit / rail projects. -Preferably experience or understanding of transit or construction systems in Ontario. -Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. -Proficiency with MS Office tools, document control, etc. -Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards. -Experienced in application of building standards (CSA, OPSS, MTO, OBC). -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related industry.
