Tasks
-Collaborate closely with the Design Director to foster cohesive team dynamics and enhance overall team performance -Engage in designing responsive web, mobile native, and in-store digital experiences to ensure a seamless user experience across different platforms -Foster collaboration with other designers within your team and across various Scout teams (such as User Research, In-Vehicle UX, Brand, and Comms) to develop comprehensive and cohesive solutions -Cultivate a deep understanding of Scout’s brand and apply it to all aspects of digital design; layout, color theory, typography, language, and iconography for digital products -The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. -Serve as a full-stack designer, actively participating in user-research, interaction design, visual design, and experience/product ecosystem design and strategy -Work closely with engineering partners to realize a build-once, use-many environment -Collaborate closely with relevant business stakeholders across a range of functional areas to design customer-facing technology solutions shaping our customer relationships -Contribute to the establishment of best practices, standards, and design guidelines within the team

What You Bring
-Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated history of working effectively within teams and collaborative environments -Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time. -Residing in San Francisco: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Scout Motors will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. -Residing in New York City: This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City. -Familiarity with design pattern standards for both responsive web and native mobile applications -Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and similar software -Demonstrate adaptability in managing multiple projects simultaneously, including the ability to handle last-minute tasks effectively -Proven track record of implementing visual design systems across multiple platforms using an iterative product design approach -A minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-stack designer with a focus on customer solutions -Residing in Los Angeles: Scout Motors will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance. -Impressive portfolio showcasing expertise in designing for web, mobile, and various digital products. An online portfolio (or emailed PDF) is mandatory for the application -This role may be based out of a Scout Motors location in Fremont, CA or remote within the United States.
