The Role
Overview
Create AutoCAD utility/telecom drawings, coordinate designs, and ensure compliance.

Tasks
-Update and revise drawings based on redlines, field changes, and client feedback. -Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for utility and telecom projects, including conduit layouts, pole placements, fiber routes, and site plans. -Work on essential infrastructure projects that connect communities and power innovation. -Maintain organized drawing files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. -Coordinate with engineers, designers, and field personnel to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability. -Assist in the development of permit drawings and utility coordination packages. -Ensure compliance with local codes, utility standards, and telecom provider requirements. -Support GIS integration and mapping efforts when applicable. -Interpret engineering sketches, field notes, and specifications to produce accurate construction documents.

What You Bring
-Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field. -Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. -1–3 years of drafting experience in utility or telecom projects. -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Effective communication and collaboration abilities. -Ability to read and interpret construction plans, utility maps, and technical specifications. -Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is a plus). -Understanding of utility and telecom infrastructure, including underground and aerial systems. -Familiarity with permitting processes and utility coordination. -Experience with GIS platforms or telecom-specific design tools.
