Tasks

-Research SAP for BOM components to compile data for use in drawings. -Draft and revise 2D and 3D mechanical drawings including detail, assembly, layout, schematic and diagram (electrical and fluid power), sales, parts list, catalog, fixture, and piping. -Review drafting tolerance, interference fits, machinability, drawing notes, and product specifications with engineers. -Load and unload parts on 3D printers. -Convert 3D models to .STL files for additive manufacturing. -Document engineering drawing information and revision history. -Create hydraulic or electrical schematics with engineers' input. -Compare SolidWorks 3D model BOMs with SAP BOMs and verify accuracy. -Convert manual drawings into electronic CAD files. -Perform calculations for center of gravity, volume, mass, and other physical properties using SolidWorks. -Obtain and document necessary measurements or observations in the production area. -Create 3D models and 3D assemblies.

What You Bring

-At least two years of drafting experience and/or training. -Experience using and applying geometric tolerances on drawings. -Ability to provide complete, accurate engineering drawings and documentation with minimal supervision. -Knowledge and experience with 3D printers. -Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. -Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting or related field. -Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel. -Experience in the fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is a plus.
