Overview
Oversee QA, calibration, inspections, and ISO compliance on 12‑hr night shift

Tasks
-Initiate nonconformance process for items that fail inspection -Document inspection results -Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees -Maintain a 40 hour work week and have ability to work longer hours as required -Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products -Communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors, and contractors -Initiate Calibration Deviation Reports as required -Perform ISO internal audits -Assist in writing and maintaining of calibration procedures or work instructions -Monitoring of machine processes in production -Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements -Conduct gage R&R study as needed -Performs SPC analysis on samples and able to trend data -Provide training on calibration issues throughout the company -Assists in the performance of contract and capability reviews and in the selection of qualified calibration sub-contractors -Determine acceptance criteria, interpret data, evaluate data, and select the best possible standards available that will give an acceptable uncertainty -Obtain disposition instructions/approvals from appropriate personnel -Performs First Article, In Process, and Finals Inspections -Performs Process Capability Studies -Performs calibration on instruments that measure characteristics of product in accordance with schedule -Measurement and verification of product characteristics (mechanical dimensions to specified tolerances) -Provide feedback to production on the quality of product -Maintain calibration database and any documentation related to calibration -Prepare calibration reports with all required data -Coordinate calibration of measurement tool with outside laboratories as needed -Perform initial investigation for the items that fail inspection -Uses a variety of measuring devices to verify material or part conformance to company or manufacture standards (i.e. calipers, comparator, gauges, etc.) -Responsible for QA activities in assigned areas of the company. This is for a 12 hour overnight shift.

What You Bring
-Capable of working with little or no supervision -High school diploma or equivalent is desired -Good written and verbal skills -Must be able to view written and printed material for extended periods -Proficient in the use of mechanical measurement equipment -Must be thorough and detail oriented -Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings -Accurate and attentive to details -Understands sampling techniques -Excellent analytical skills -Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point) -Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat and cold in production areas -Necessary operate computer terminal for extended periods -Understands root cause analysis tools -Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor -Must be capable of working in the manufacturing environment using proper safety equipment -Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment desired -Must have ability to make decisions involving accepting or rejecting items -Possess knowledge of test and measurement equipment and the applicable reference standards -Have excellent mechanical aptitude
