The Role

Overview

Operate and set up automatic clamp machines on 3rd shift.

Tasks

-Sets up and calibrates machinery and equipment, according to production specifications and instructions. -Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery and equipment, to ensure proper functioning and prolong equipment lifespan. -May occasionally climb stairs, drive forklifts, and operate equipment. -Records production data, including machine settings, material usage, production output, downtime, and quality control results, in production logs or computerized systems. -Follows safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work environment for oneself and others. -Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions or adjustments to resume production and prevent a recurrence. -Adjusts machine settings, parameters, and controls as needed to optimize production efficiency, minimize waste, and meet production targets and deadlines. -Collaborates with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate production schedules, prioritize tasks, and address production-related issues or concerns.

What You Bring

-Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. -Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and operational issues. -Basic computer skills to operate computerized control systems. -High school diploma or equivalent education and experience required. -Technical knowledge and understanding of machinery and equipment -Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials. -Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -One year of related machine setup operation or other relevant hands-on mechanical experience is required. -Problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet production deadlines. -Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
