What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards. 8+ years of recent experience in highway/DOT projects. Willingness to travel and work on-site as required. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background check and driving record review. Civil Science is looking for a talented and driven Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City, St. George, Richfield, or Lehi, Utah. If you’re passionate about shaping infrastructure and leading exciting projects, we want to hear from you! Critical thinking abilities to ensure project success. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass both a criminal background check and driving record review. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. UDOT CEMT Certification (or the ability to become certified within 3 months of hire). Preference given to candidates with experience in UDOT design and construction standards. Civil Science evaluates and determines on a case-by-case basis whether it is willing to sponsor an individual to receive a temporary or permanent work visa (e.g., E-3, H-1B, H-1B1, or TN visa status). Utah Professional Engineer License (required). -Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. -Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards. -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -8+ years of recent experience in highway/DOT projects. -Willingness to travel and work on-site as required. -A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background check and driving record review. -Proven success in engineering project management, with a focus on roadway construction. -Must be able to work on active construction sites, which may include uneven terrain, exposure to varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels. -Critical thinking abilities to ensure project success. -Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times. -Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. -UDOT CEMT Certification (or the ability to become certified within 3 months of hire). -Preference given to candidates with experience in UDOT design and construction standards. -Utah Professional Engineer License (required).
